Surely there must be something that is only available offline. I like things I shop for to be different and unusual. Whether this is food, clothes, cards, cars, holidays. However the problem with trying to be individual is the accessibility of information and research on the internet and how things can be tracked down, price compared and bought online. No sooner has the compliment left their lips about your fabulous new coat you are wearing than you know they will be at the school gates wearing it. I set myself and my family a challenge that every purchase we considered over the next 12 months we would make the effort to buy this online to disprove my theory that there is nothing that you cannot buy online. my daughter has took me literally and has opened up an account at littlewoods catalogue, my own fault i supose. Would we ever know the answer as there are no comprehensive listings of all shopping web sites in the world? Or does Google or Microsoft have this information?

I was searching for a property online but of course no fool would buy a house online without knowing the area, trawling estate agent details and appointments to look at each house. There are several steps you can take to do just this.
The virtual tour on estate agent websites, the specialist property search sites capabilities of ways to decide on your perfect home, price, distance from postcode, schools, previous prices paid, others like it within 5 miles etc….gave me all the information I needed. So with details in hand printed off from your pc where online you can evaluate room sizes and layout.
Buying a house online is possible and Google maps Ariel view helped in this but still did not give you the feeling of pulling up outside a house. Street view does just that.. Street view looking around outside and looking at neighbours back gardens, curtains and cars.

Found something you can’t buy online
Romanesco cauliflowers. I needed these for my daughter’s gcse art project. I had no concerns we would not be able to source one, even though they are unusual. Started with high end online supermarkets then moved to specialist vegetable stockists with online shopping sites. Then progressed to wholesaler’s at large vegetable markets and still no success, I tried tesco online great for groceries and booths but still nothing. I resorted to telephone research to find out the reason why there were no romanesco cauliflowers. Various sources replied they are seasonal and French and they are keeping them for themselves and normal cauliflowers are expensive due to bad weather. I tried French sites and even translate tool on google and even this could not get the determined French to part with their cauliflowers. So it is with some triumph I have proved there is some things you cannot buy online but disappointed my daughters art project will not be different, unusual and impossible to copy.
