Shopping for a 7 Inch Micro Laptop
What do you look for in a 7″ laptop? If you’re looking for what most people are looking for, it’s probably portability and ease of use. Unfortunately many people don’t realize before buying these that these so-called “micro laptop computers” are actually not as well-outfitted as many of the larger types of laptops on the market. However, we’re going to discuss a couple of the more popular brands of mini laptops and talk about why you may consider these over their larger cousins. Read on.
The first one I want to talk about is the venerable ASUS Eee PC. This has been touted as one of the laptops that has given the micro laptop movement its huge boost in popularity as of late. These laptops are very easy to carry around, being that they only have 7″ screens. They are also very cheap, which appeals to many people who may be on a budget. You can get most of the Eee PC line for less than $400, which is about what you’d be spending on something like a PS3. Naturally you can’t bring your game console on the road with you, so why not spend that money on this great little laptop instead? If you’re one to travel a lot, it can be a great investment. Keep in mind however that it’s not very powerful; you can generally surf the web and use word processing applications on these. That’s about it.
The other micro laptop I want to talk about today is the Samsung Q1U line of laptops. These are actually a bit different; they’re more tablets than anything else, but they are more powerful than the ASUS. 800 MHz is standard with 1 GB of RAM. You probably can’t play too many good games on a tablet though, so keep that in mind! These are also great if you’re on the road a lot. Check them out.
