Convert a Child Lady Bug Costume to an Adult Costume
You might be disappointed to find out that you have overly outgrown your Lady Bug Costume. Or you might want to convert your costume when you were 10 yrs old into a sexy adult costume for you to wear now. To make your Halloween more comfortable, here are some costumes troubleshooting ideas for you to wear your old cute Lady Bug costume this Halloween.
Problem # 1: Too Short Skirts
If you have strict parents, you could always cover those sexy legs with a nice pair of black leggings. You could always get them out once you’re at the party. Better yet, get a nice pair of net stockings to make it sexy yet covering your legs at the same time.
Problem # 2: Tight Skirts
You do not really have to wear you skirts close. To cover the exposed uncovered hook-and-I closure, you could sew a thick black or red ribbon or piece of fabric over it. Cut a piece of cloth or fabric into a four inches thick and 35 to 40 inches in length. Sew it around the skirt and ribbon it to your back to secure your skirt.
Problem # 3: Small Wings
Small wings are actually into your advantage. As grown-ups you wouldn’t need big wings for show and to really feel like a bug. You just need those wings for effect and the smaller they are the better for you to have more ease in dancing. Thus, just change your wing garter to longer one so it wouldn’t be too difficult to wear on your shoulders.
Problem # 4: No matching shoes?
Lady bug costume would just need you to wear black or Red plain shoes. Thus if you have a pair of black stilettos, doll shoes, or any plain black shoes for that matter, they would suffice.
Here are just some ideas on how to save your old Lady Bug Teen Costumes. If they are really beyond salvageable, you better get a new one, especially if you have no talent with needle and thread. But if you really have a good imagination and creativity, you could always convert your old things into wearable fashionable Bug costume for you to wear this Halloween.
